Requests and the Steadwell assistant
Owners can now ask for work and follow it from proposal to done. And everyone can talk to Steadwell, by keyboard or by voice.
Two big additions this release. One gives owners a formal way to ask for work. The other gives everyone a way to ask Steadwell.
Requests
An owner who wants something done at the house raises a request. The firm quotes it, the owner evaluates it, staff approve it, and it becomes a task on a visit. Every step lands on a board with columns for each stage, and a card can move backward when plans change or be declined at any point, with a note.
Bigger jobs break into subtasks, each of which can go to a different person and a different visit, with a progress ring on the card until every step is done. Everyone concerned gets an email when a request moves, and a feed under your profile shows what changed while you were away.
The assistant
Open the assistant from the header on any page and ask in plain words. It knows your estates, visits, tasks, and requests, and it answers based on what your role is allowed to see. When you ask it to change something, it shows exactly what it is about to do, by name, and waits for you to approve.
Tap the microphone and speak instead of typing. Turn on Read replies aloud and it answers back, with your choice of voice and speed.
The home screen is yours
Pick which panels appear on your home screen, drag them into order, and size each one. Every member of the firm keeps their own layout.
A home for owners
Homeowners now have a sidebar and home screen built for them. Each estate opens to its latest visit summary, laid out like the email, with a way to step back through earlier visits.
